IN Research Shows that Amount Read Counts, p.60* Resources: Nancy McGriff, Library Media Specialist, and Susan Angelos, Title I Reading Teacher, South Central Community Schools in Union Mills, Indiana, developed a Free Voluntary Reading program that allows students the choice of materials to read without outside restrictions. The results of their action research project, "The Research - Free Voluntary Reading, " show that those students who participated performed better on standardized tests than students who did not participate.
